Oops I Did It Again!

Oops I Did it Again! I mixed up yet another schedule for my Kiddies activities. Last year I sent my girlies to the wrong dance classes in my now blog famous Dance Class Swap Out and now before we can even start the new Dance Season I have somehow managed to have them miss the first 2 weeks of classes!

I don’t even know how. Ok so I know that our dance school usually sticks to the same schedules for classes (starts and endings) as the local school. So in my mind when we left the final recital I figured we would be back the same week school started in August. Oh how wrong I was.

So yesterday I was searching through my ever growing pile of flyers, forms and reminders for various activities to try and see what lovely outfits, shoes and such I needed to add to my shopping list for school and dance supplies. As I skimmed down the list: leotard, footless tights, foot paws (yeah – umm that may be a whole nother post – what in the what what?) I noticed – in bold type – see you all August 11th! What? August 11th…it’s the 22nd!?!?!?

So then came the embracing phone call where I tried to explain how I thought they started this week and not nearly 2 weeks ago. Are they still enrolled? How much did they miss? Aaaaarrrrrggggghhhh! I listened to the sweet owner’s voice as I know she was probably recalling my epic swap out from last year and decided to just end my misery then. Yes, we would be at class this week and yes I would find out what a foot paw was.

So my weekend is going to be spent not only scrambling for school supplies that were not on the list they mailed us (yes, yet another post in the making!) but also trying to define and locate this all elusive foot paw. Wish me luck!

Girl I honestly don’t know myself most times…LOL obviously I have my moments when things slip by me but for the most part we are successful in being where we need to when we need too. 😀 I hope you enjoy your long weekend!

Haha! It is kinda unavoidable at least once…but look at me! I\’m an overachiever and managed to do it twice…LOL It all worked out though and for that I\’m grateful…they didn\’t miss much and I don\’t think they even realize they started late. Have a great long weekend 😀

Ugh! I can't imagine! You are juggling well though. I can only imagine that sometimes there are going to be missed days and swapping dates! I do it now and I only have one child. 🙂

😀 Thanks, I’m trying…I just hate feeling lil I was the reason they missed out on anything…LOL

I've had a few parent of the year moments. At least you didn't forget your 2 year old was on your foot tails and you closed the bathroom door before she could get in and didn't realize it until you were helping your 6 year old wash her hands.

Haha…good to know I\’m not alone 😀 Oh my goodness…I may have done something like that with a niece once…I always have to do a head count… 😀

I am right there with you, starting a new season of dance classes for my daughter! Yeah, I can SSSOOO relate! We bought school supplies yesterday, and she started a short, 3-day dance camp today. I had to call her dance teacher last week to make sure I remembered when classes started for her – were they the week of school starting of the week after? You'd think as long as I have been doing all this, I would remember – but no, each year we go through this an something always ends up surprising me! 🙂

Yay for Dance Moms! We Rocks 😀 Yeah, I set alarms and alerts now for each class and hopefully it will help me avoid calling too often…maybe 😉

Same here Brittney! I was like \’I Got This\’…well not so much 😀 I am happy to keep them active but sometimes keeping up with it all is a job in itself. LOL

I'm not a Mom but that is totally something I would do! LOL! You would think they would send out a reminder…especially if you miss the first class. And what the heck are foot paws??

They said they were getting back into things too…usually they call after a class…I guess we were all a bit off 🙂

    • MrsTee Post author

Exactly Alli! I was so annoyed with myself…my Girlies didn\’t really know one way or the other and then needing to call…ugh! Haha! It is a cool title 😀

Gosh, I can see how it would be easy to get it all confused sometimes. It is great for kids to be involved in all kinds of activities, but between school and activities and if there is more than one child, confusion can reign supreme sometimes! 🙂 It will all get sorted out. And, the amount of school supplies parents are supposed to buy now.!Gees, so different than when my kids were young.

Thanks Karen. It can get a bit hectic. I have officially set timers and reminders for everything so wish me luck for the rest of the year 🙂 Oh yes the supply list is ri-donk-u-lous and most times they add stuff as far out as October. Boo!

  • feliciae25

That would be me, I'd let a whole month go by before I even realized we were supposed to be there.
And don't get me started on school supplies! My 6th graders list was sent out,we get everything on it AND THEN they send home another list the first day of school with totally different stuff needed. I am not a happy person and she's going to have to deal with what she has for a while because I can' t just go blow more money on a whole other supply list. ugh….

    Remember when school was easy?

Haha! At least I am not the only one 😀

Oh the school list! That\’s exactly what happens with my Kiddies but this year I wait and asked at the Open House…STILL issues! Arrrgh! I just fought my way through Wal*Mart and I am NOT HAPPY 🙁 LOL
