11 Random Facts:

I’m going to try to list facts I haven’t listed in any other posts…

♥  I’ve worn glasses since the 3rd grade. Yeah folks I started my Nerd Girl journey early 🙂

♥  I used to be a Girl Scout Brownie but it lasted maybe 4 months.  Once they told my grandmother we were going camping my Brownie adventure ended.  Ummm…she was a city chick all the way..no woods for her!

♥  I have a Brown belt in Karate.  I took Karate from age 5 to around 12.  I stopped when some punk decided that the “no kicks below the belt rule” wasn’t going to apply to him and I had to kick his butt I mean umm…yeah no I don’t have a better way to say it, I kicked his butt LOL.

Sidenote:  Guess who was in my 6th grade class the following school year?

♥  I took piano lessons and played in recitals from age 5 to 13.  My proudest accomplishment was playing for the Mayor of our town and being presented with a $50 Savings Bond!

♥  I can roller skate really well but ONLY on the old school 4 wheel kind…rollerblades are a HUGE No-No unless someone wants to pick me up off the ground.

♥  I have the smallest feet.  I wear a 5 or maybe a 5 1/2 with a insert.  I usually luck out because most times I get to buy kid size sneakers or the display model dress shoes at a discount BUT just yesterday I had to pass up on an awesome pair of Nine West leopard print flats On Sale because the smallest size they had was a 6 and it was flip-flopping off my foot! Arrrgh!

♥  In elementary school I almost FAILED Gym (physical education) because I couldn’t dribble a basketball.  The teacher (Mr. T) actually called my Grandmother and sent me home with one of the school basketballs and said if I couldn’t dribble my end of quarter I would fail.  Needless to say, my Grandmother made me dribble back and forth every day after school the length of our basement for an entire month.  So, I can’t actually play basketball at all but if you ask me to dribble to ball I Got You!

♥  I went to Catholic School for my entire pre-college school experience including an All Girl High School.  Uniforms were my life.  Yes, I rolled my skirts as soon as my Grandmother dropped me off! LOL

♥  I wore maroon penny loafers in elementary and thought that putting dimes in them made me special!  (So sad…)

♥  I didn’t learn how to ride a bike until I was 20… yeah I know…sad right?  Let’s just say balance isn’t my friend.  I can fall over standing still (hence my failure with rollerblades)

♥  As a kid I had a huge HotWheels collection (100+ cars)…my boy cousins were Sooooo jealous!  I had the collector cases and everything! 😀

Taylor’s Questions:

1. Mountain hideaway or beach house?

Beach House –  since living in Hawaii I fell in love with the ocean breezes and being so close to the beach.  We have already said that if we ever move somewhere after the Kiddies are all grown up it would be back to our Aloha Home.

  1. Computer or Television?

Wow!  That’s a close one…prior to my Blog my answer would have easily be Television but now I think I would have to give this one to Computer.

  1. What is your dream job and why?

My dream job would be something involved with kids and anything that would still allow me to be available for my own Kiddies for their activities and to give them support.  I know this is probably not only a dream but an illusion too..LOL

  1. Describe your personal style.

Casual.  Borderline Tom-boyish.  I am in heaven with a t-shirt, jeans/sweat, my Chucks and a comfy hoodie.

  1. WordPress or Blogger?

WordPress all the way.  I’ve never had Blogger but just from the stories from friends and the fact that most Blogger users seems to making the move to WordPress I am happy I made that choice from the start.

  1. Describe a difficult time in your life. How did you overcome it?

I think my most difficult time in my life was at the start of my Hubby’s deployment.  I was all alone with 2 babies and a pre-teen.  I felt lost without him and yet had to maintain the appearance of strength for my Kiddies sake.  All while trying to comfort children who didn’t understand why Daddy wasn’t home.  I overcame it with my faith in God, prayer and my Hubby’s constant confidence and encouragement.

  1. If you could have dinner with someone dead or alive who would it be and why?

I would have dinner with my Dad.  We never had a chance to be close and I can’t remember having a meal with him that was just him and I before he passed away.

  1. Are you a dog or cat person?

Neither.  I like them just not in my house.  I have enough butts to wipe and clean up after.  Maybe later or when the Kiddies are old enough to handle the responsibility of whatever pet is.

  1. Have you or would you ever go skydiving?

No and no.  I am too fearful that something would happen to me and leave my Kiddies without their Momma.

  1. What is your love language?

Affection.  I love to cuddle.

  1. If you could be any superhero who would it be?

WonderWoman.  She is my Girlie’s favorite and she never places herself any lower than the male heroes.  She is a Princess and Amazon – the best of both worlds!

Seems like we have more in common than I thought. I the jeans, tees and converse kinda girl too. Grew up with boys since I had no sisters so I became a boy. 😉 trust me I know how tough it can be being military myself but you did great! Congrats on the award and thank you for the nomination as well. You rock!

Wow! That could be some of why I am such a tom-boy. I was the only girl in a bunch of boy cousins. Haha! Being too girlie was dangerous…lol

Thank you! I can't wait to see your answers 🙂

So crazy, I started wearing them in 3rd grade too! I started wearing contacts at the end of elementary school. I really want lasik surgery, but I am TERRIFIED of the thought of any surgical tool near my eyeball!

My hubby says no on skydiving too. I told him I was going to "surprise" him one day and force him to go with me! And I am part tom boy as well….I LIVE in my chucks in the winter time!

      I didn't get my contacts until hmmm I think 8th grade…(duh that's the end of elementary too…LOL)
I want the surgery too but I watched Jessica Simpson get it on TV (Bad Move) now I'm terrified of that laser coming at me…so glasses and contacts it is for now 🙂

My Hubby was air qualified for the military BUT he says why would he get in a plane just to voluntarily jump out of it…so he's a no go too! 😀

      Chucks RULE!
