Act Like You Know | #828Blessings

There are times in life where we need to Act the part of what we know to be our favor in God. I gave this advice to a friend a few weeks ago when she was feeling as if perhaps she was wrong for putting on an act in her life when her world was in chaos.  As Christians, I don’t feel it is an act or false portrayal at all. To act like you know for a Christian is simply to walk by the Faith God has given us through the promises in His Word.

Act Like You Know

I honestly had no hesitation in responding when I saw it.  We were both born and raised in the church and have often encouraged each other i our lowest points in our faith and Christian journeys.  This was my reply:

Reply - Act Like You Know
*worse NOT worth*

My friend was saying that there are basically times when her life may be totally out of control yet she ‘acts’ as everything is fine. Isn’t it fine though? In our walk with God we are taught that no matter what the situation God is always working for the good of those who love Him.  That behind the scenes of our reality He is working for our ultimate provision and success.

So then when we keep a brave face, a lifted head and an encouraged heart are we not merely trusting in those promises He has made? To me an ‘act’ is more of false presentation but when a Christian acts according to their faith instead of according to what they see they are presenting the truth of who God is to them.

Hebrews 11:1 {KJV}

11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

When life and it’s troubles start to weigh me down and my strength becomes a bit shaky I call on this NOW Faith to pull me through beyond what a see and into the unseen.  The promises of God meant for me to access in those exact moments.

Philippians 1:6 {KJV}

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ

Isaiah 41:10 {KJV}

10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness

After some time, thought and prayer I have decided to change the design of #828Blessings to simply being on of testimony and encouragement.  I will no longer include an InLinkz LinkUp.  I have seen that it has not been successful in that manner but that the encouragement is still something I wish to provide.  Should you want to share your story or testimony of an #82Blessings feel free to contact me and perhaps we can arrange a Guest Post for an upcoming week.
