I Did It! I ran in The Color Run and guess what? I’m A Finisher!
When I signed up for The Color Run back in March I was so excited to finally do something that was completely out of my comfort zone. Me run? On my own? Without the Hubby? Yes! I wanted to do this and have it be something for ME.
I asked my Aloha Wife friend if she would join me, she asked a friend (who easily became one for me too) and we made it an Army Momma thing. Our Team was called the CheetahGirlz and we were so ready to go out there have fun, dress up and most of all Be Happy!
As the date came closer I started getting more and more excited. I was collecting all my gear: sunglasses, sneakers, socks and finally the all important TUTU! The morning of the run, I was up extra early and felt like a kid on their first day of school putting to gather that perfect outfit! Wig (Check) Tutu (Check) Cheeatah Socks (Check) Pink & Black Sneakers (Check) and HAPPY Tat (Double Check)
Even @TheColorRun agreed that I had all I needed to be ready for a great day of being a Color Runner!
@mrsteeh Socks, tutu, happy tat–you are good to go!

I can’t even explain the energy and happiness that was all around me. There were women, men, whole families out there all in their tutus (yes even the men LOL) the fun was contagious! Especially when you are given the chance to have so much more than just a run…
Dancing, Conga Lines, Color Pack Throws this was definitely the best way to experience my first 5K that I could ever imagine! Not only did I dance, laugh and have fun but I ran! I ran off and on and for my first 5K but I made it! I finished! I was tired at the end but I was also exhilarated and anxious to share The Color Run adventure with all of you…
