Dear Fear,

Dear Fear,

You tried to make an appearance and I just wanted to let you know you are not welcome here. Not only are you not welcome but you’re not even allowed in my life.

I’m sure I’ve told you this before when you tried to creep in during the low times. The scary times of my life. Still, being scared does not mean I need to be fearful. I don’t need you! I have God who has given me power over you.

I am His. He is mine. I am covered by His sacrifice and His love. He has traded you for power, love and a sound mind. Power to push you away, love to realize that He who loves me would never harm me and soundness of mind to see past the scary and through to the promises. He has made me promises that cannot be broken.

Fear

With Him I don’t have to give in to the feelings of worry, stress and the unknown. He gives me reassurance that even when I see the bad in things my good is all He is working for (Romans 8:28). That alone gives you no authority or place in my life.

Yet, I think you may need a bit of a reminder of all of this. It seems at times I let my guard down and you see a way in. Don’t. No matter what I am going through there is no room for you in my life. In case either of us forgets that I wanted to introduce you to the reason why you can’t stay.

Fear meet Faith. Faith is my foundation. Faith is the reason why I can look at you and know that you are not meant for me. I know you have met before. I also know you don’t really get along and that’s fine. It’s how it should be. Faith is in charge here. Faith looks beyond you [Fear] and helps me see the promises and possibilities that He has planned for me.

Please know I realize you will not simply go away. You will put up a fight as you have before. I know you will try yet again to take over and push me into a corner where I forget Faith BUT…. HE has given me tools, defenses. Ways to not only send you running for cover but to also call Faith in as my protection and shield.

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:17 {KJV}

I sought the Lord , and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
Psalms 34:4 {KJV}

What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. Psalms 56:3-4 {KJV}

Fear thou not; for I [am] with thee: be not dismayed; for I [am] thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10 {KJV}

These are only a few. Trust me I have many more to rely upon. So take this notice. You are not wanted, needed or welcome and you a hereby banished from my life and the life of those I love.

Sincerely,

His Beloved
