What The Truck! Introducing Fayetteville’s Food Truck Lunch Break!

No Material Connection Disclosure

Confession: For years I’ve been a bit jealous of both Durham and Raleigh, NC because of their amazing Food Truck Community – until today! Today was the Kick Off of the What The Truck! weekly food truck lunch break at Festival Park right here in my Fayetteville!!

What The Truck!?!?

I must admit I was a bit disappointed when I first arrived because I was expecting the entire park to be filled with trucks full of food. Instead when I arrived I saw 5 trucks. The first thing I thought: What The Truck?!?! It wasn’t until after I spoke with Alyssa Hennessy the Events and Promotions Director for CEED of Fayetteville that I realized there was a method to the 5 truck madness. This event is set to happen all throughout the summer every Wednesday. In order to help keep things interesting and our taste buds happy they have scheduled 5 truck a week in a rotation of cuisines. Okay Alyssa – you’ve got my attention!

This week I decided to try out RBurger! This food truck has it’s own fan base and just about the longest line in the park. I even found out you can find out their daily locations through Twitter, Facebook and Instagram! After running into several fans, including Alyssa of CEED, I decided to brave the heat and the line to see what all the RBurger fuss was about.

I can tell you this burger was so worth the wait! You can get just about any combination of toppings you want but RBurger also offers a Carolina Burger (Chili, Slaw, Onion and Mustard) , Southern Burger (House Made Pimento Cheese, Grilled Onion and Mustard) and the Jalapeño Colby Jack Burger (Grilled Jalapeños and Colby Jack Cheese). I came up with my own burger creation: Ketchup, Mustard, Cheddar Cheese and Slaw. It was so YUMMY!!

After I inhaled my burger Breena of More Betta Blues and I stalked Ashley from PRESSED and her Loco Pop cart as she made a run to refill her Loco Pops. We went with the Mojito and Cherry Lime pop. Breena said the Mojito was amazing and my Cherry Lime Loco Pop was so delicious it’s hard to put into words…

I could’ve kissed this Cherry Lime #LocoPop from @pressed except eating it was so much more fun!!! ? #WhatTheTruck is every Wednesday from 11am – 2pm at #FestivalPark Rain Or Shine!! ? #NOTSponsored #MyFayetteville #MyNC #FayettevilleNC #Foodie #WhatTheTruck #PressedNC #NCCEED #LoveLocal #foodtruck #foodtrucks #FoodtruckLife #foodtruckfestival #foodtruckinvasion #foodtrucknation #foodtrucklovers #foodtruckfest #foodtruckeats #foodtruckwednesday #NCfoodtrucks #foodtruckrally #foodtruckrodeo #foodtrucklove #NC #NCBlogger #NCBloggers #MrsTee
