Five Minute Friday: LONELY

Start

How do I write on a word I no longer know?
I used to dwell in that place I lived there for so long it felt as if I would never exist outside it’s walls
But then love came and showed me that lonely wasn’t my home or even a place I needed to visit
No, I had a better place to call my own a shelter that could stand any storm life may bring
Lonely wasn’t for me any more my Father knew where he wanted me to be
In the arms of my covering and my children yes the arms of family made just for me
That place of lonely was mine no more so I left it long ago
So how do I write of this word I no longer know?
I write of it in farewells and long agos
Since the places I dwell now are so much brighter
I’ve been given the gift of love where lonely never finds me.
