Hey there Lovies!! Guess who just went on her very first Big Happy Planner Shopping Haul? This girl! I went with my pal Kelly from KellySeeks.com to Hobby Lobby and Michael’s this weekend and boy did I get some great stuff BUT before you check out the Haul Videos I wanted to give you a few tips I learned on my very first Planner Shopping Spree.
Get ALL The Apps!
That’s right – all of them! You guys know I’m all about the Apps. They help me do everything from posting to editing yet I don’t know how I’ve been missing out on how they can help with the saving too! The morning of our shopping trip I went online to get an idea of what I wanted to get and noticed that the store Apps seemed to have Exclusive coupons – so of course I downloaded them!
Can I just tell you?!?! I received not only the weekly email subscribers 40% coupon codes but a few App Exclusive ones as well. Not to mention scanning your coupon from the App is way easier and takes a lot less time then trying to find one in an email. I mean you don’t wanna miss out on any savings – do you?
You Can REPurpose!
The other thing I learned this weekend about Planner Shopping is that you don’t always need to go for the Planner Brand products and accessories. There are quite a few things you can have for your planner that may not have started out as something for your planner. It’s All About The REPurpose!
For Example:
Looking for the perfect Elastic Band to help keep your planner neat and closed?
Try a headband instead. It’s the exact same thing and costs way less especially if you check a store like Hobby Lobby or Michael’s!
Want those really cute and unique Paperclips with the fun ribbons on the end?
Grab a few small rolls of ribbons in the craft section (some as cheap as 25 cents!) and your hot glue gun and Make Your Own!

Know Your Options
Now I truly loved every single minute of roaming the Planner, Sticker and Pen aisles of Hobby Lobby and Michael’s BUT I also know my options. There were a few things I saw that I just knew I could find a bit cheaper. So as I stood there Kelly and I put our smartphones to good use checking and comparing prices on our Amazon App and guess who placed a few orders when she got home? THIS Girl!
