Oh yeah. You saw that right. Weekend! For me Mother’s Day is never limited to just one day. You know how some people like to celebrate their entire birthday month? Well I like to celebrate Mother’s Day for the entire weekend! That’s right folks – I like to have a Mother’s Day that starts Friday evening and goes right on through Sunday! I mean I think moms deserve it – don’t you? I decided to make the planning of things a bit easier on my family this year. I am going to break down exactly what I want for my Mother’s Day Weekend day-by-day and gift-by-gift. . .
Just Us – Friday
Friday is going to be just for me and the Hubby. I think having a balance on Mother’s Day is key to making it a great one. That’s why I try to make sure I get to spend time with my Hubby, my Kiddies and even all by myself! After all we are the ones who got my whole Mommy title started, right?? LOL.
This year I have been hinting, whispering and sometimes nagging a bit about wanting to take a ride out to ‘the fancy movie theater’. No, that’s not the real name but that’s what I call it.
Ciné Bistro At Waverly Place | Cary, NC
CinéBistro has been on my radar for at least a year (probably more) and this year I am determined to say I’ve been there. From leather seating, waiter service, drinks and fine dining this theater takes Movie Night to the next level.

I’m not sure what movie I want to see yet, I’m thinking it will either be Life of the Party which looks like another Melissa MCCarthy hit or Breaking In with Gabrielle Union because she looks like a Mother no one should mess with! With a menu like this now you can see why I think this ‘fancy movie theater’ will be the perfect start to my Mother’s Day weekend.
If you’re in North Carolina be sure to check out CinéBistro for your next movie night.
Family Time – Saturday
Ft.Bragg Fair!
Next up is Saturday. Saturdays are made for family fun and I hope to have tons of it with the Kiddies at the Ft. Bragg Fair. The fair has been running since April 26th and will actually be ending this weekend. I’m excited to get a chance to have some amazing food and fun to help celebrate the little people who helped me earn the title of Mom.
Tickets are super reasonable at $17 per adult with a Military/DOD ID. Who knows, we may try to make a second visit on Sunday since they are having a Mother’s Day special where Mom gets in free with any full priced kids ticket.
JP’s JumpMasters
Now if the fair doesn’t work out my back up or even my addition will be a bit of family fun at JP’s JumpMasters. This Military-Owned and Operated business is one of the best places in Fayetteville to Get Your Jump On!
Since my family is rather large any place that offers tons of fun at a budget friendly rate is always at the top of my list.
UPDATE: Thanks to the amazing owners of JP’s Jump Masters who saw my post and are now offering 50% off an hour of jumping this Sunday for Mother’s Day!
Make It Special – Sunday
Sunday is the Big Day – Mother’s Day! I think I’ve saved the best for last with a combination of food and fun all in one day! I want to start it off with a lovely Mother’s Day Brunch at a local spot I’ve been dreaming about since discovering their menu online.
Circa 1800
Located in the lovely historical downtown of Fayetteville, Circa 1800 offers an amazing Sunday Brunch Menu with plates like Stuffed French Toast, Chicken & Waffles, Shrimp and Grits – I’m getting hungry just typing this out!
Join us for dinner on the patio tonight. You can’t beat 80 degree weather in February?
I think this is the perfect way to wrap up my ultimate Mother’s Day weekend… don’t you?
All Wrapped Up – Gift Ideas
Now that we’ve wrapped the weekend I wanna share a few gift ideas your family can wrap up for you this Mother’s Day. Since I have kiddies who range from 24 down to 7 I always try and think of gift ideas they can all manage.
The Kiddies
Isn’t it funny how as Moms we can want something that in reality is a pretty small thing but for whatever reason we never buy it for ourselves? Well that’s what happened with me and the Amope Pedi Perfect Foot File. I’ve picked this thing up and put it down more times than I can count. It’s priced under $20 which makes it the perfect gift for my 3 youngest Kiddies to add up their allowances and make this Mommy smile for Mother’s Day.
The Older Crew
As ya’ll know we have 6 kiddies and the first 3 are now all over 18. This means they have jobs ya’ll! So the price range for their gift ideas can be a bit more than $20 especially if they come together on one thing. Wallets are one of my weaknesses and I would love to add the R.Riveter Wallet to my #BagsOnAMission Collection. I’m stuck between the classic Black or the New Spring Brown. Either one would make me super happy!
The Hubby
My Hubby and I have a running joke between us as far as gifts go: When in doubt – Bag it out. He knows if he hasn’t come up with a gift he is always safe to grab me a handbag. It’s something I will always be happy to receive. To stick with my R.Riveter theme I would love to add the Spring/Summer Collection’s Grant in Colonial Blue to my Riveter family.
Now if I’m completely honest just about ANYthing from The R.Riveter Mother’s Day Collection would be a Winning Gift for me… have you checked it out yet? Take a look just click the image. . .
There ya have it! My Ultimate Mother’s Day Weekend PLUS Gift Ideas – here’s to hoping I get to check most of these off my list 😉
