Pancakes With A Purpose: Interview With A Children of Fallen Patriots Scholar

Sponsored Post Disclosure

Children of the Fallen Patriots is an organization founded in 2002 focused on giving the children of fallen patriots a way to pursue educations they may not have seen as possible without this help. Scholarships, guidance, book bags, stipends, supplies – CFPF works daily relieve a burden that many families never expected to face. Now through November 30th IHOP is helping to support this cause in their own unique way – with pancakes.

#PancakesWithAPurpose

I remember the days during my husband’s deployment when I allowed myself to think of the ‘what if moments‘. It was scary and there were times when I didn’t have answers for the questions that ran through my head. Questions that often included plan for supporting my children without him. David Kim saw that same worry as he watched the wife of a friend struggle to recover after her husband’s death during his service. It was then that David Kim decided he had to do something to help. The result was Children of Fallen Patriots.

IHOP is a company who has always been aware of the community it serves – especially it’s military. Seeing the purpose IHOP President, Darren Rebelez a Veteran himself decided to help generate both awareness and donations for the scholars it supports. Through the Red, White And Blue Combo IHOP will donate $1 for each combo purchased to Children of the Fallen Patriots.

Meet A Scholar

Your donation can help someone just like Stephanie who lost her father during the Gulf War at the age of 15. I had the honor to meet Stephanie and find out how CFPF has ‘opened a door‘ for her to continue her path towards her goals as well as give her a ‘second chance‘ she didn’t even know was possible.

Take a look at our chat and the fun we had over our very own Red, White and Blue Combos.

Stephanie is just one of thousands of scholars given the chance to make their educational dreams and goals a reality through the work and determination of CFPF and companies like IHOP who are dedicated to bringing a light to what they do.

How You Can Help
