Ya’ll know how much I love a great Blogger MeetUp but add in wine and well yeah, you’ve got my attention! Today I was gifted an early Valentine’s Day treat with my fellow local Bloggers at The Wine Cafe and let me just say this day is truly something to wine {and vlog} about!

Jenny of GoFayetteville and Fayetteville Area Convention and Visitors Bureau set up a day full of surprises and special fun just for us. From the amazing wine personally selected by owner, Angela to the massages given to each of us by the amazing staff of The Sanctuary At Cedar Creek I walked out feeling like Valentine’s came a few weeks early.

The Wine Cafe

The Wine Cafe is located in Historical Downtown Fayetteville right on Hay Street and right next to one of my favorite Coffee Shops – The Coffee Cup – which just happens to be owned by the same amazing Military Spouse. Owner Angela opened both shops with the encouragement of her husband and her faith.

Today Angela gave us a mini wine tasting class. I learned so much! From how to swirl, sniff and pair this was a class full of so much information. I even found a few new wines to go back and add to my own collection!

Did You Know?

• When a waiter serves you a bottle of wine you shouldn’t smell the cork? Instead check to see if it’s wet. A dry cork means a bad bottle but a wet one is best.

• When tasting you should sip while letting air in to your mouth to help highlight all the flavors and layers of the wine?

• When drinking with a meal you should drink first, then taste, then sip?
