This summer has been brutal. The weather here in North Carolina has been no less than 90 degrees every single day for at least a month now. That means it’s too hot to simply let the kiddies play outside and too – summer – to keep them inside. Can I tell you how much I’ve heard the words “I’m bored”? Too Many! Thank goodness Greg’s Pottery has given me a way to beat the heat and make something neat – all at the same time!
Beat The Heat
So the other day when they started singing they boredom song I decided to take the chance to finally experience one of our local Fayetteville gems – Greg’s Pottery. I’ve been wanting to visit and try the fun of painting my own pottery for at least two years now. I first saw Greg’s Pottery during a Blogger Tour of Fayetteville back in 2015.
If you’re in Fayetteville and looking for a way to beat the heat and still have fun I definitely suggest @gregspottery ? We had a blast!! ? #GregsPottery #MyNC #MyFayetteville #DowntownFayetteville #Summer #SummerDays #SummerFun #GetCrafty #Craft #Paint #Pottery #Blog #Blogger #BlogLife #NC #NCBlogger #NCBloggers #LifestyleBlogger #SouthernBlogger #TheMrsTee
Make Something Neat
So I gathered all the Kiddies, including my oldest and my two nieces. My oldest daughter was the most excited because she is artistic to her core but the rest of the crew, let’s just say they weren’t as ummm – enthusiastic. That is until we got to Greg’s.

As you can see, once we got there everyone was super focused on creating the most perfect piece of art. I loved seeing how determined even the older Kiddies were to get their visions for the pieces just right.
Even #MisterEJ got in on the fun . . . ? #GregsPottery #MyNC #MyFayetteville #DowntownFayetteville #Summer #SummerDays #SummerFun #GetCrafty #Craft #Paint #Pottery #LoveMyLife #LoveMyKiddies #Blog #Blogger #BlogLife #NC #NCBlogger #NCBloggers #LifestyleBlogger #SouthernBlogger #TheMrsTee
If you’re local to Fayetteville or even in driving distance I recommend you take a day and make Greg’s Pottery one of your family’s moments to remember. We not only got the chance to pick out and decorate some really cool pieces of art but we did it TOGETHER. Even though my oldest and my niece tuned out for a bit with their headphones to focus – we still had fun, laughs and most importantly we made a memory I don’t think any of will forget any time soon.
Why YOU Should Make Something Neat At Greg’s Pottery
Greg’s Pottery offers hundreds of different pieces to choose from. Whether you’re a mug kinda gal like me or like more dainty pieces like jewelry holders or wall plaques Greg’s has something for everyone!
Prices are friendly to nearly any budget. Pieces start at around $10 for smaller pieces and from around $25-$60 for larger pieces like tea pots, canisters, etc. Oh and the prices include your paint, the glaze of your piece and the firing.
Make a day of it. We got to the shop around 12 noon and had so much fun we didn’t even notice we’d been there for nearly 3 hours! From picking gout our pieces, our paint colors and then our designs. We were so engaged in the process and fun of it all time flew by! Best part – the staff was super helpful and set no limits to how long we took to get our pieces exactly how we wanted them.
You’ll definitely visit at least twice. Why? Because once you’re done with your decorating you get to come back to Greg’s to pick up your finished piece! It’s like having having buy one get one fun – you make it and then you get to return to see how amazing it turns out.

I used to do pottery and love it still. It really got me through the toughest time of my life, very healing. I’m actually considering going back now.
I can definitely understand that. It was so relaxing we ended up staying there for nearly 3 hours. I was totally in the zone…
